ABAE's Objectives:
- promotion of the highest professional practices;
- encouragement of active participation in the solution of school problems;
- development of solidarity and loyalty in the profession;
- establishment of a local action body in support of local, state, and national programs for the advancement of public education;
- provision of opportunities for self-improvement and the exercise of initiative and leadership;
- provision of opportunities to discuss and to help formulate Association policies at the local, state, and national levels;
- promotion and protection of the welfare of the members;
- encouragement of members to exercise their rights and privileges as citizens and to provide leadership in civic affaris; and
- advancement of the cause of education in ABAE.
